About Mavi Contemporary Art
Mavi Contemporary Art showcases fine art, with sculpture, photography and painting as the primary focus. Mavi Contemporary Art re-launches to share an address with Better Homes and Land, Gig Harbor, making it a Real Estate and Gallery. Mavi and Elizabeth plan to support the work of local artists in addition to bringing in artists from around the world.
Mavi
Namesake and Business Manager of the gallery. Mavi is a life-long artist and strong supporter of the arts. She has decades of small business successes in her repertoire and is the broker agent/owner of Better Homes and Land. A figurative abstract oil painter, her work has recently been exhibited in the Tacoma area and France. She has a budding interest in performance art. Mavi previously lived in the south of France, where she was influenced afresh by the eternal works of Picasso, Matisse, Miro and Chagall. Upon her return to Washington, Mavi studied art briefly at UW – Tacoma, when her love for the South Sound took off. Mavi has donated paintings to several local charity auctions.
