Drawing and painting have always been Gary LaTurner’s favorite ways to express himselfI teaches pottery and makes expressive works in clay. He works in his studio and out in plein air, as well as at figure drawing sessions. Gary LaTurner received his M.A. in ED. from Eastern Washington State University in 1967. Gary grew up in Spokane and moved to Western Washington to begin his teaching career. He taught art and has worked in the arts most of his life. LaTurner uses pencil, watercolor, and oils to create impressionist drawings and paintings of figures, portraiture, and landscapes.
